This policy covers the FlowWrite app and website, operated by 北京方寸拾光科技有限公司 (Beijing Mind Light Technology Co., Ltd.).
Your writing and storage
- Manuscripts, references, media, and snapshots stay locally or in your chosen library location by default.
- Content enters other services through sharing, sync, feedback, or AI actions you choose.
- You can view, move, back up, and delete your library. Uninstalling may leave these files in place.
Information and purposes
- Accounts and devices: sign-in identity, nickname, avatar, device name, app and system versions, IP address, and sign-in activity for authentication, security, and device management.
- Purchases and credits: purchase evidence, transactions, subscription status, and credit records for access, billing, and restoration.
- Optional diagnostics: installation and product analytics identifiers, feature usage, versions, device environment, and errors to improve stability. Usage may be associated across an account's devices.
- Voluntary feedback: title, description, images, contact details, and account and device information for support. Images upload when selected.
- Network access: IP address, browser information, and access time to provide and maintain services.
Default diagnostics exclude manuscripts, book and chapter titles, search and replacement text, model keys, and raw model requests. Data serves product, support, and necessary compliance purposes, with no advertising or unrelated profiling.
AI and extensions
- Access is granted per book. Tasks can read relevant prose and references and send prompts, conversations, passages, or images.
- Custom models contact your selected provider directly; keys are encrypted on your device. Official AI uses FlowWrite self-hosted services and the actual model providers.
- Model providers apply their own terms. An overseas provider may receive content abroad.
- Generated images are saved in your local book. Temporary service images are processed and cleared as needed for delivery.
- Enabled extensions may send task content to external services. Check their source and purpose.
Service providers
- FlowWrite self-hosted services: accounts, purchases, credits, official AI, and diagnostics.
- Apple: distribution, purchases, restoration, refunds, and Apple sign-in.
- WeChat Open Platform: sign-in and authorized profile information.
- Tencent Cloud CLS: redacted warning and error logs.
- Tucao (兔小巢): feedback submitted from the app.
- Model providers: the selected AI capabilities, potentially including Anthropic, OpenAI, DeepSeek, Doubao, MiniMax, and Zhipu.
Website and diagnostic settings
The website uses necessary sign-in cookies, language preferences, device identifiers, and temporary sign-in verification. It currently loads no third-party traffic analytics script. Sign out or clear site data to reset browser state.
Disable usage data and crash reporting in Settings → Application → Privacy while keeping core writing available. Sign-in, purchases, and official AI still process the necessary information for those services.
Deletion and your rights
Manage devices or request account deletion in account settings. Once a request is accepted and completed, the associated profile, devices, and sessions are cleared. Necessary purchase and settlement records may be retained as required by law.
Local books, custom configurations, conversations, and Apple or WeChat accounts remain. Cancel Apple renewal separately. Contact support to request access, correction, deletion, or withdrawal of consent.
Retention, security, and updates
We retain service data for a reasonable period needed for these purposes and take necessary security measures. Back up your writing and remove sensitive content before sharing feedback or conversations.
Material changes will be reflected in this policy and announced through the website or app. Features requiring separate consent will request it.
