Get started
- Choose a service in Settings → Account & AI → AI.
- In book settings, enable “Allow writing assistant to read this book”.
- Select AI in the editor to open the writing assistant and describe your task.

Try a task
- “Check character motivations across the first three chapters.”
- “Find conflicts between chapter five and the timeline.”
- “Shorten this chapter while preserving the clues. Suggest edits first.”
- “Group the first four chapters into an opening volume and arrange their order.”
Review changes
By default, review edits and accept, skip, or request adjustments. Editing permission in the writing assistant can also allow automatic edits to the current document or whole book.
Long tasks can run in steps. Stop at any time; applied edits remain and can be recovered through document history.
Manage conversations
Each book keeps its own conversation. Enter /clear to clear the conversation while keeping the manuscript.
