How FlowWrite protects your work

Understand the boundary between local manuscripts, anonymous diagnostics, model calls, and feedback.

Unpublished writing can contain private ideas, characters, and plots. FlowWrite keeps the boundary simple: work stays in your library unless you deliberately use a feature that needs an outside service.

Ordinary writing stays local

Book titles, chapters, prose, reference material, media, and history remain in the library you choose. Creating, editing, searching, counting, importing, and exporting do not require uploading a manuscript to a FlowWrite account.

FlowWrite does not use manuscript content for advertising or profiling, and third-party model keys are not collected as analytics.

Anonymous diagnostics help fix problems

When Anonymous usage data and crash reports is enabled, the app may send feature results, error types, app version, and necessary device environment details to help diagnose faults.

Diagnostics should not contain book or chapter names, prose, prompts, model output, search terms, file paths, or API keys. A random anonymous identifier can associate reports from the same installation without using your name, phone number, or hardware serial number.

Turn diagnostics off at any time in Settings - Data. Writing, saving, and exporting continue to work.

When you use the writing agent

FlowWrite sends a prompt and necessary manuscript context only after you configure a provider, authorize the book, and start a task. Your provider handles that data under its own terms and privacy policy.

When you send feedback

The feedback title, description, and images you choose are sent to the feedback service, together with basic app and environment information that may help reproduce the problem.

Do not include passwords, model keys, identity documents, a complete unpublished manuscript, or other unnecessary sensitive information. Use the smallest excerpt that reproduces a text-related issue.
